Grand Opening: Hope Springs, Springfield, December 5th
Please join us in congratulating Bluestem Partners and Southern Illinois University Medical Center at the opening of Hope Springs, a 36-unit supportive housing project for people with disabilities. CSH is proud to have financed a pre-development loan for this project in 2011 and continues to enjoy a long-term, fruitful partnership with Bluestem.
Three CSH Partners  Receive Funding for New PSH Projects
We at CSH are excited that three new PSH projects we have worked with have received development funding awards from IHDA.  Trinity Services, Inc. in New Lennox, Human Services Center in Sparta, and Bethel Human Resources in Harvey, received notification that their projects will be funded in the 2012 rounds!  Both Bethel and HSC are graduates of CSH's Supportive Housing Institute, "Opening New Doors", and all three received predevelopment funding through CSH's CDFI lending program.  We are thrilled for our partners and look forward to working with them on these and future projects!

Dear New Congressperson: Please Fund Supportive Housing!

As part of the CSH national knowledge building campaign during election season, CSH reached out to candidates directly and through local media to tell them about Permanent Supportive Housing. The Lake County News-Sun published a Letter to the Editor, written by CSH's John Fallon.

We encourage providers and advocates to talk to the newest legislators about how cost-effective permanent supportive housing is and how it transforms people's lives. We encourage you to invite your  legislator to your permanent supportive housing sites for a holiday visit and explain why they need to support our residents and  communities through funding.
